Symptoms or Error. SR scan fails with SR_BACKEND_FAILURE_40 stating that the VDI is present in metadata and not in XAPI. xe sr-scan shows the lv which has issues. /var/log/SMlog during the scan shows that the VDI is present in the metadata but not in XAPI.

9/11/2012 · unfortunately this solution doesn’t work. After “Rename the image to the same uinqueid as the disk you created” when I try to boot vm I get error “The attempt to load VDI failed and when I run sr-scan I get error “SR_ BACKEND_FAILURE _40”.
